Organizers of Lollapalooza Argentina have officially announced that the festival will be postponed until the second half of the year due to the Coronavirus. The fest was originally slated for March 27 – 29 at Hipódromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires. But after the Argentine government forbid large public gatherings to curb the spread of Coronavirus, the local government of San Isidro posted on social media that the festival wasn’t taking place.
Today, Lollapalooza organizers sent the following statement to media: “From Lollapalooza Argentina, we are informing that we’re working on the reprogramming of the 2020 edition of the festival for the second half of this year. Faced with this unprecedented moment, our top priority is preserving the health and security of the public, artists and work teams and heed the preventive measures of government and health authorities. We will share more information soon on our website and social media.”
The festival’s lineup included Guns N’ Roses, Travis Tritt, The Strokes, Lana Del Rey, Martin Garrix and Gwen Stefani, among others.
