Just one week into his first-ever solo world tour, Louis Tomlinson announced today (March 16) he’s canceling the remainder of his UK leg amid coronavirus concerns.
“I’m sad to say that we have made the decision to reschedule my UK Tour that was due to start next week,” Tomlinson tweeted. “We are working with the promoter and venues to make new plans as soon as possible but these things are taking a little longer at the moment.”
The UK singer-songwriter performed his first show in Barcelona last week but swiftly canceled his Milan tour stop scheduled for Wednesday as the entire nation of Italy currently remains under lockdown.
He promised fans to announce the new dates shortly after a previous tweet declared the remaining European tour dates will be rescheduled to August.
Tomlinson joins the rapidly growing list of artists forced to cancel their shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
