Machine Gun Kelly has been cast to play iconic Mtley Cre drummer Tommy Lee in Netflixs upcoming adaptation the bands biography, The Dirt: Confessions the Worlds Most Notorious Rock Band, according to Variety.
The film, currently titled The Dirt, is beinghelmedby Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, while members Mtley Cre are reported to be on board to co-produce.

The film is set to follow the groups rise through the 80s, while also documenting the bands highs and lows.
MGK took to Twitter to celebrate the announcement. He later revealed he got the studio to hire his younger brother toteach him how to play the drums.
In addition to The Dirt, MGK has a number other acting gigs on the horizon. He is set to star alongside Sandra Bullock in Netflixs upcoming thriller Bird Box, as well as in Rupert Wyatts sci-fi film, Captive State.
MGKs last film appearance was in 2016s The Land, which was executive produced by Nas. The film set in MGKs hometown Cleveland, Ohio also featured Erykah Badu. Before that, the Bay Boy Records rapper starred in the first and only season Showtimes comedy-drama series, Roadies.
