Marcelo Burlon Celebrates Levi’s 150th Anniversary With Laser-Treated Denim Capsule

Celebrating 150 years of Levi’s, Marcelo Burlon County of Milan has joined forces with the classic American denim label on a capsule collection of upcycled denim garments.

The honorary range, available in limited quantities, merges Marcelo Burlon’s signature motifs with Levi’s historic denim silhouettes, employing laser treatments to produce an all-over patchwork finish on both a trucker jacket and a pair of jeans.

First up, the Levi’s Vintage Trucker Jacket, which dons Marcelo Burlon’s angular pattern across the top half of its construction, throws it back to Levi’s Type II Trucker Jacket, famous for its pleated detailing. The Authentic Straight Vintage 551Z Jeans, meanwhile, employ the coined graphic on the bottom half of each leg and make references to the first-ever, pre-shrunk Levi’s jeans. Notably, both designs feature Marcelo Burlon’s County blue tags and cross logo flag labels.

Born in 1873, Levi’s is a pioneering purveyor of denim, oftentimes credited for revolutionizing the concept of jeans, thanks to its popular 501 silhouette. In light of its milestone anniversary, the household label has produced a slew of commemorative collaborations, with brands including Rolling Loud, JJJJound, Slam Jam and Born X Raised, among several others, as well as a number of in-store celebrations.

As the fête continues, peruse the Marcelo Burlon County of Milan x Levi’s 150th-anniversary capsule in the gallery above, and shop it now on Levi’s and Marcelo Burlon’s webstores. Prices range from $495 USD to $550 USD.
