The wait is over: the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards finalists have been officially announced. Leading the tally are Bad Bunny and Ozuna with 14 each, followed by J Balvin and Daddy Yankee with 12 entries and Anuel AA with a total of 11.
Frequent Billboard Latin Music Awards finalists include Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga and Marc Anthony who once again earn a spot on the exclusive list.
However, a number of first-time finalists received a nod this time around such as singer-songwriter Pedro Capó, whose Farruko-assisted remix “Calma” peaked at No. 3 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, and rising star Sech, a promising urbano artist from Panamá.

Discovered by music producer Dímelo Flow, Sech dropped his first album Sueños in April 2019 debuting at No. 8 on Top Latin Albums (chart dated May 4, 2019). Over on the Hot Latin Songs chart, the singer from Panamá has had nine total entries including "Otro Trago" which peaked at No. 1 on the chart. This year, he is a seven-time finalist including categories like new artist of the year and top Latin album of the year.
The Colombian reggaetón singer’s full-length debut album, ADN, debuted at No. 8 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums (chart dated Sept. 7, 2019) securing his first top 10 on the survey. Furthermore, he placed 12 songs on the Hot Latin Songs Chart including “Una Lady Como Tu,” “Sola” and “Una Vaina Loca” which hit top 10. Turizo is up for new artist of the year.
After collaborating with artists like J Balvin and Zion & Lennox and scoring a Latin Grammy for his role as a songwriter on Tito El Bambino’s 2011 album Invencible, the Puerto Rican artist released his 13-track debut album Famouz in May 2019. The new artist of the year finalist has had four entries on Hot Latin Songs including "No Me Conoce" which peaked at No. 4 (chart dated Sept. 28, 2019).
Paulo Londra
The Argentine freestyler scored his first chart entry on Billboard albums chart with his debut release, Homerun, ranking No. 10 on the Latin Rhythms Albums survey. Additionally, he's had three total entries on Hot Latin Songs including tracks like "Cuando Te Besé" and "Adan y Eva." He's also up for new artist of the year.
Up for seven awards, including crossover artist of the year, the Canadian rapper makes his finalist debut thanks to his collaboration with Daddy Yankee on the smash hit "Con Calma" remix. The song, also featuring Katy Perry, ruled the Hot Latin Songs chart at No. 1 for a total of 14 weeks.
With seven total entries on the Hot Latin Songs chart, including "Calma" which peaked at No. 3 (chart dated May 4, 2019), the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter is a six-time finalist at this year's Billboard Latin Music Awards. "Calma" is up for hot Latin song of the year.
Nominated for latin pop song of the year for Rosalía's "Con Altura" featuring J Balvin, the Spanish composer, producer, musician and DJ co-wrote and co-produced Rosalía's El Mal Querer, which became a No. 1 album in Spain.
Banda Los Sebastianes
The two-time finalist band is up for hot Latin songs artist of the year, duo or group and regional Mexican song of the year "A Través Del Vaso." The up-and-coming group from Sinaloa, Mexico has had four total entries on Hot Latin Songs — including "A Través Del Vaso," which peaked at No. 8 (chart dated March 9, 2019).
The Venezuelan singer's 54+1 is up for top Latin album of the year. The 2019 album peaked at No. 9 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart (dated April 5, 2019).
Fuerza Régida
Up for egional Mexican album of the year for Del Barrio Hasta Aquí, which scored the group's first No. 1 on Billboard's Regional Mexican Albums. Additionally, Fuerza Régida has charted two tracks on the Hot Latin Songs chart: "Radicamos en South Central" and "El Dinero los Cambió."
Also up for regional Mexican album of the year, the band's Pa Las Vibras debuted at No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart and peaked at No. 11 on Top Latin Albums (charts dated June 15, 2019).
Finalist in the producer of the year category, Dímelo Flow is behind urban hits including Sech's "Otro Trago" and Anitta's "Downtown."
The duo's Para Aventuras Y Curiosidades is up for Latin pop album of the year. Furthermore, Mau y Ricky have had a total of three entries on Hot Latin Songs including "Mi Mala" ft. Karol G and "Desconocidos" ft. Camilo and Manuel Turizo.
