Megadeth are ready to hit the road after a rough 2019.
The group announced "Megadeth is back!" on Twitter on Wednesday (Jan. 8), officially kicking off their reboot following singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine's revelation that he was being treated for throat cancer last June.
"We can't wait to see and play for you all on the Killing Road in 2020!" they wrote in reference to their upcoming tour with Five Finger Death Punch. "What songs do you want to hear?"

Mustaine, 57, updated fans in September that he was finishing up his last round of cancer treatment and said his doctors "are feeling very positive regarding my progress." The speed metal icon's treatment led to the cancelation of all the band's scheduled shows for the remainder of 2019.
The Killing Road tour is slated to kick off on Jan. 20 at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland, and currently has them criss-crossing Europe through a Feb. 22 date at the Arena Armeec in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Megadeathpunch package will also feature opening act Bad Wolves. Megadeth have been working on their 16th album, which bassist David Ellefson said is due out early next year.
