Metro Boomin Is In "Savage Mode"

As has become the norm in both Hollywood and rap music alike, a sequel has been officially confirmed. Long have we known about the existence of Savage Mode 2, but information about the project’s progress is not exactly fruitful. Not long ago, there were reports that it would be releasing in March, but those quickly proved to be unfounded. In truth, it seems as if both parties have been taking their time on the anticipated album, which bodes well for those of us still patiently waiting.

Don’t get it twisted. Metro hasn’t exactly fallen off the grid entirely. He still comes through to hint at the album’s imminent release, as he has done this morning by way of a simple tweet. “I’m in savage mode,” he writes, the implication of studio time heavy in the subtext. Of course, the significance behind this “update” depends entirely on Metro’s understanding of stirring up hype — do you think there’s fire behind this particular smoke?
