Michael Bublé, like many artists, is keeping active during the coronavirus quarantine.
On Monday, he surprised fans with a new song called “Gotta Be Patient,” and he recruited Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies and Mexican pop artist Sofia Reyes for the tune.
The nearly three-minute song is a catchy doo-wop track about having patience amid the global health crisis. “I just want to see my friends/ I want to walk the streets again but I gotta be patient/ So let’s enjoy this confination,” the song goes. Reyes, who brings her silky voice to the party, further elaborates, singing in Spanish: “If you want to come out/ I’m sorry but no/ You have to stay inside.”
On Instagram, the “R.I.P.” singer expressed her excitement over working with Bublé. “I hope this song becomes a highlight for you as it’s been for me during quarantine. IT’S BEEN A PLEASURE WORKING WITH YOU, such a dream!!!”
This isn’t the first time Bublé has had a virtual hangout with a Latin artist. Prior to teaming up with Reyes for “Gotta Be Patient,” the Canadian singer had an Instagram Live with Colombian pop-urban star Sebastian Yatra, where the two perfectly harmonized to Nat King Cole’s “L.O.V.E.” and even promised to work together in the future.
