In February, Monsta X released its acclaimed new album ALL ABOUT LUV, the South Korean group’s first all-English project, which hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Friday (April 17), the act has gifted fans stuck at home due to the global coronavirus pandemic with some entertainment: a new music video for the track “You Can’t Hold My Heart.”
Following the album’s release, Monsta X performed the song on Today, and in March — before the nationwide shelter-in-place orders came — stopped by The Kelly Clarkson show as well. But now, in the age of social distancing and without any in-real-life performances coming soon (though the act is still scheduled for a North American summer trek), the video is plenty to hold us over.
Taking place in a vibrant red cube, group members walk on the ceiling, float upside down and even emit colorful clouds of smoke from their chests (color-coordinated to match their stylish outfits, of course). Most recently, “You Can’t Hold My Heart” entered Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40, coming in at No. 40.
