Monsta X dropped their long-awaited full-length English-language debut on Friday morning (Feb. 14) and it's probably no coincidence that it emerged on Valentine's Day. The 12-track All About Luv really is just that, an homage to love in all its forms, with the six-piece K-pop stars rolling out smooth pop and R&B anthems that will set hearts racing and instantly slide into playlists for the most romantic day of the year.
From the electro pop glide of "Got My Number" to the yearning post-break up anthem "Happy Without Me" ("now I hate to see you happy without me") and the ear candy Bieber-esque bop of earlier single "Love U," the album is packed with all the colors of love, infatuation and heartbreak. There's some finger-snapped doo-wop a cappella runs in the previously released low-key EDM throbber "Someone's Someone," a rush of romantic gestures in the true love bop "She's the One" and some serious sensual swagger on "Beside U," featuring Pitbull.
The album also features a will.i.am remix of the previously released single "Who Do U Love?" with French Montana and a remix of the Pitbull track to round out the dozen songs. The group will be hitting the road this summer for a run of 17 tour dates across North America, whicih kicks off June 2 at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minn. with stops at arenas in major cities including Washington D.C., Boston, Toronto and Vancouver before wrapping up July 11 at The Forum in Los Angeles.
