Fans waiting 14 years for another Dixie Chicks album will have to wait longer.
It was revealed on Tuesday (April 21) that the upcoming Gaslighter, scheduled for a May 1 release, has been indefinitely postponed.
Lead vocalist Natalie Maines knows that you’re feeling bummed about the news, and took to Instagram to share a hilarious video imagining what fan reactions looked like.
The clip shows a woman turning on an old-fashioned television set, while explaining to someone named “Chlo Chlo” on the phone: “I just found out that the Dixie Chicks, your favorite band…their new album, they’re not releasing it.”
The clip then shows a fitting montage of various temper tantrums, with children and adults alike screaming and crying.
