In the latest episode of You Should Know, this month’s Chartbreaker Natanael Cano is helping his fans learn a bit more about him, including how he first found how his song “El Drip” made it onto the charts and what initially inspired the track, when he has felt the most starstruck, and much more.
Cano, whose song “El Drip” first appeared on the Regional Mexican Digital Song Sales chart in November 2019, says that he learned of the news from his manager Jimena.
“I ask sometimes because I’ve never been on any of the Billboard charts,” he explains. “I’ve always been on the lookout and wanting to know if I was on…then we actually charted, thank God. It was good!”
As for what inspired his now viral sensation “El Drip,” Cano reveals that it was influenced by his life and that the video was filmed where he lives. “There are times when we are always partying,” he adds. “’El Drip’ is literally our lives.”
In the interview, Cano also recalls the moments when he felt the most starstruck, naming the times he first met Bad Bunny and Anuel AA. “Those were times I really felt it,” he notes. “It was a strong feeling.”
