Nick Diaz Teases UFC Return On Instagram

UFC welterweight Nick Diaz accepted a one-year suspension from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) earlier this week for missing three out-of-competition drug tests within a 12-month span. However, the suspension is retroactive to the date of Diaz’s third missed test, which, ironically, was April 19, 2017, meaning he’ll be able to return in a little over a week.

And it looks like the 34-year old fighter has every intention of finally returning to competition in the UFC.

Diaz, who hasn’t fought in the UFC for over three years, took to instagram this morning and shared the following photo along with the caption, “Back where we left off.”

UFC President Dana White told TMZ Sports a few months back that Nick Diaz was interested in fighting again, so it shouldn’t come as a total shock if he’s back in the ring once his suspension is finally over. The question is, who will he be fighting when he steps back in the octagon?

According to multiple ESPN MMA analysts, Diaz could go after his original rival, Georges St-Pierre. The two previously fought at UFC 158 in 2013, but Diaz claimed he was drugged when they fought. ESPN also notes that Michael Bisping and Robbie Lawler are candidates to face Diaz.
