Nicki Minaj Says She’s Not Ready To “Rush” Into Next Album

Nicki Minaj was recently featured on a Vogue Italia cover shoot, where the rapper revealed plans for upcoming music in the interview that followed. For context, Nicki’s last album was Pink Friday 2, which came out about two years back. This, of course, has fans waiting in anticipation — but Nicki is in no rush.

Speaking on her musical growth, Nicki mentioned that she has a bunch of “solid tracks” ready, but she doesn’t want to rush into it. Why? Well, she has deep reverence for music and Hip-Hop and said, “I want the record to mean something, both for the fans and for me. I’ll never be one of those people who puts out songs just to put them out. I love music. I respect it.” But hey, if we can get some of the best verses of all time like we did with ‘Monster’, who’s to complain?

In fact, it might even be great that Nicki is building up the silent hype before a drop. Her Pink Friday 2 World Tour was already the highest grossing Rap tour for a woman, so it will be no surprise if Nicki decides to raise the stakes with her next release and roll out. For now, check out the Vogue cover by an artist that is as iconic as she is elusive!
