Niko Brim – “Bonita”

A new era for hip hop artist Niko Brim has begun, boldly detailed in his New York grit and bravado dripped record, “Bonita” – produced by GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer Tank God, co-producer of Post Malone and 21 Savage’s* mega-hit, “Rockstar.” The track leads the E.P. “B4 The Throne” out December 15 on V-Records.

“Bonita’s” release treks the debut of Rapsody’s latest music video “12 Problems” – which features a performance by Niko Brim, who delivers a moving rap dialogue with Reuben Vincent, detailing the impact of police brutality.

“B4 The Throne” is the prequel project dropping ahead of his forthcoming album, “King Has No Crown.”

“This record is for the underdogs; I wanted to crown the kings who’ve not been crowned and remind them, ‘Yeah, You got it.’ It’s to inspire us to keep going. With everything going on is easy to feel small and question our power,” said Niko Brim, who hails from Mount Vernon, New York.

“It’s something for all my people out there working every day and hustling. It’s a reminder of who you are and where you’re headed,” added the 23-year old artist who’s been collaborating with super-producer Tank God since they were teenagers.

A major basketball fan, Brim dropped a visual tribute to LeBron James, after he won his fourth N.B.A. championship leading the Lakers to their 17th, laced to “Bonita.” His bravado on the bridge of the song, “Bonita,” where he rhymes “Looking for the king, well here I am?!” is the perfect rim anthem to celebrate the M.V.P.

Niko Brim’s monthly Instagram show, Power Hour, returns, Thursday, November 19. Each show is hosted via @Niko Brim and starts at 6:19 PM EST– a homage to Juneteenth.

The last installment focused on the election and included Raymond Santana– a member of the Exonerated Five, Hector Flores of the band Las Cafeteras, voter advocate Onida Coward Mayers and recording artist MVXMILLI. Follow Niko Brim for more information.
