Adish and Suicokeâ€™s new collection has arrived, delivering a fresh take on the popular footwear brandâ€™s classic model. With an emphasis on Adishâ€™s focus on sustainability and traditional embroidery techniques, the collaboration brings Palestinian designs to five iterations of Suicokeâ€™s ever-popular ZAVO closed-toe mules.
Each rendition of the shoe showcases the intricate embroidery work that is synonymous with the Adish brand. Intricate flowers are woven into the beige canvas upper of the sandal, adding a burst of color to the otherwise muted shoe. Across the top of the sandal is a matching beige strap.
The collaboration also supports Adishâ€™s community of Palestinian artisans, who hand-embroidered each pair of shoes. Adish, which launched in 2018, says that each of its collections is aimed at â€œraising awareness to the ongoing injustices happening on a daily basis in Palestine.â€
With its bold colors and intricate designs, the 2023 Adish x Suicoke collaboration is a celebration of culture and craftsmanship. Each of the five sandal designs was created to be sold exclusively at a different Dover Street Market location: Ginza, Beijing, New York, Los Angeles and Seoul.
Each pair of the Adish x Suicoke SS23 ZAVOs retails for approximately $305 USD and the collection will be available in-store at Dover Street Market beginning March 24.
