Prince Royce has postponed his Alter Ego Tour in the U.S. due to the coronavirus pandemic and the national state of emergency.
Royce took to social media to share the news with his fans.
“I put a lot of work and love into preparing this new show and while it is disappointing that I won’t be able to perform for you in the near future, keeping you all safe is what’s most important,” he wrote.
Royce’s Alter Ego Tour kicked off in Seattle on March 4 and the decision comes following his show Thursday night at The Forum in Los Angeles, where he performed even after California Gov. Newsom called for the cancellation of gatherings of 250 or more people through the end of March.
“As always, I appreciate all the support and love and I hope to be able to perform live for you as soon as it is safe to do so. There is some uncertainty around this unprecedented situation and the tour promoters and venues will share further details for each market as soon as possible,” he said.
Today, President Trump declared a national state of emergency in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
