Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida teases that a PS5 game lineup reveal is set to come “soon.”
The hype for Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 console, currently on track for a Holiday 2020 release, is reaching new heights. Especially after Epic Games previewed that provided a glimpse at the PS5’s graphical potential. Suffice it to say, the future for gaming is bright — and once we have an idea as to what the launch title lineup is looking like, all the better.
Though Sony has been keeping their cards close to the chest, it would appear that the curtain is about to be slowly lifting. According to a report from IGN, a games reveal is set to be imminent. At least, that’s what Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida seemed to indicate, revealing that they “will soon be announcing a strong lineup of PS5 games.” As of now, none of those games have been indicated in the slightest, though there are plenty of rumors to unpack in the interim.
Some have speculated that a proper console reveal would take place during an event in June, though Sony has yet to confirm that any such event would even be taking place. Still, given that the window is closing, don’t be surprised to see an influx of PlayStation 5 news in the coming weeks. Insofar as launch titles, are there any you’d like to see once the console officially hits stores later this year?
