Pusha T is free.
The rapper has officially been released from his contract with Def Jam. On Thursday, Pusha shared a photo of a contract that had fans speculating about his future with Def Jam and G.O.O.D. Music.
“Some people call you their brother, other people show you you’re BROTHERS,” he wrote before thanking Kanye West. “Thanx ‘Yezos…’ @kanyewest.”

Pusha’s manager, Steven Victor, told Complex that the contract marks the end of Pusha’s relationship with Def Jam.
“[He’s still with] G.O.O.D. Music, he’s just not signed to Def Jam anymore,” explained Victor. “This is his last album on Def Jam.”
While he has fulfilled his Def Jam contract, he remains with G.O.O.D. Music. Additionally, he now owns his masters, thanks to Ye.
“I mean, we might re-sign with Def Jam, I’m just saying he fulfilled his contract obligation,” Victor added. “He might re-sign with Def Jam, it’s just the whole point of it is that he’s still with Kanye regardless to wherever he ends up with his next projects. It will be with Kanye.”

Pusha’s upcoming fourth and final album for Def Jam is dropping “sooner than you think,” according to Victor. Pusha recently previewed new music during a Paris Fashion Week party and shot a video for a collaboration with Ye.
“The album of the motherfu**ing year is coming,” Pusha said of the follow-up to 2018’s Daytona, which will include production from Kanye and The Neptunes. “A Pusha album takes a long time. It takes a long time to put this shit together, but when it comes together, ain’t nothing fu**ing with it… I’m on some one thousand percent rap superhero shit, man.”
