The wait is almost over.
As Migos gears up to release its long-anticipated album Culture III next week, Quavo said to expect ďgreatness.Ē
In an interview with Complex, Quavo declared the third installment in the Culture series ďthe greatest album of this year.Ē
According to Quavo, the music is whatís needed to lift people up in a post-pandemic world.
ďI feel like this album going to open up the world. Weíre having fun and smiling again,Ē he said. ďEverybodyís been hurtiní, and going through this pandemic, and losing loved ones. I feel like this is a breakthrough. This is the sonic boom to the new life and new world that we live in. Weíve been going through this pandemic for like a year-and-a-half.Ē
Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff originally planned to release the project last year before the world shut down. ďWe havenít dropped any music in three years. The year that we was going to drop, the pandemic hit. So I just feel like itís a breath of fresh air,Ē he explained.
In addition to the lead single ďStraightenin,Ē Culture III will feature some special guests including a ďreally, really, really hard recordĒ with Pop Smoke.
ďWe got some good guys on there. We got our good friends on there,Ē Quavo revealed. ďItís going to be the greatest album of the year. We put our blood, sweat, and tears into it. We had a lot of time to go over and a lot of time to bond and be together with this album.Ē
Culture III arrives June 11.
