Quin NFN closed out March with some fresh tunes for your quarantine playlist from his compact Quincho project. The Austin, Texas native wastes no time in following up to release a cinematic visual for the melodic “All Blues,” premiering on Billboard today (April 2).
As far as the clip — which serves as a fan-favorite off the feature-less effort — NFN falls into a trance and wakes up greeted by what comes along with his life of newfound fame.
Reporters track him down for a quote, photographers try to get a shot, businessmen tantalize him with money, and crazed fans want to secure an autograph from their hero.
In the midst of the madness, a jealous opp pulls the trigger and leaves Quin on the ground bleeding out. The 19-year-old eventually snaps out of it and is rescued by his his girlfriend. She throws him on the back of her motorcycle and they ride out to safety with fireworks filling the night sky.
“My inspiration for the video was honestly from me always wanting something greater,” he reflects to Billboard. “As a young kid, I remember wanting to be a superstar and people everywhere wanting to see me and get my autograph, even to the point of being chased down. But it also reflects some of the inner-fears I had and some that I still have by being such an important figure in music at such a young age. Ultimately, success has its up and downs, but you have to focus your mind on the positive and keep going to do this for myself, my family, and my fans.”
The Lil Wayne-inspired artist looks to be the next 10K Projects signee to make the quantum leap to stardom, following the likes of Trippie Redd and 6ix9ine, who were propelled into the industry’s mainstream with the help of the label’s head honcho Elliot Grainge.
