R.I.P. Chicago Rapper Fredo Santana

Fredo Santana a pioneer Chicago drill rap and cousin Chief Keef has died after suffering a fatal seizure, TMZreports. He was 27.

The site reports that Santana was found in his Los Angeles home by his girlfriend at 11:30 p.m. yesterday evening (January 19). Texas MC Maxo Kream was among the first to post about Santana’s passing, writing, “Damn man I’m lost for words right now I’m cryin my ass f Fredo I love yu Bitch RIP a real Savage.”

The rapper was hospitalized in October last year for liver and kidney failure, and as TMZnotes, was known to speak openly about his addiction to lean. No cause death or statement from the rapper’s camp has been ficially revealed.

BornDerrick Coleman in 1990, Santana delivered his debut mixtapeIt’s a Scary Sitein 2012, which featured verses from Chief Keef,Lil Reese,King L, Gino Marley, Frenchie,Lil Herb,Lil Bibby, andLil Durk and production from Young Chop, TM88 and more.

He delivered a full-length titledTrappin’ Ain’t Deadin 2013, which included a verse from Kendrick Lamar on single “Jealous.” He was also prominently featured in the video for Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” that same year.
