Radiohead Aren't Suing Lana Del Rey, Says Band's Publisher

Despite Lana Del Rey stating the contrary, Radiohead are not suing her, according to the band’s music publisher.

As previously reported, Del Rey tweeted over the weekend that Radiohead had slapped her with a lawsuit over her song “Get Free,” due to it apparently ripping f the group’s mega-hit “Creep.” She even added that the Radiohead camp wanted “100% the publishing” and demanded it be removed from her album Lust for Life.

Now, however, a spokesperson for Warner/Chappell has issued a statement to the media denying the existence any sort lawsuit. The statement reads as follows:

As Radiohead’s music publisher, it’s true that we’ve been in discussions since August last year with Lana Del Rey’s representatives. It’s clear that the verses “Get Free” use musical elements found in the verses “Creep” and we’ve requested that this be acknowledged in favour all writers “Creep.” To set the record straight, no lawsuit has been issued and Radiohead have not said they “will only accept 100%” the publishing “Get Free.”

Radiohead themselves, however, have remained silent over the brewing controversy.
