Jhené Aiko and Big Sean unfollowed each other on social media, and the internet went crazy… for absolutely no reason. While several outlets reported that the two were having relationship issues which lead them to split, such isn’t the case.
Hip-hop fans and the like can relax… The duo is still #couplegoals.

According to reports, Jhené and Sean unfollowed each other today (May 3). More than that, Jhené posted photos of her and her tattoo artist followed by some ambiguous text photos.
The shot of the singer laying down on her side while getting tattooed — which most assumed was her way of sharing that she was covering her tattoo of Sean’s face — was just the first thing that startled fans. The suspect text pictures, though, were what really had some feeling like Jhené and Sean were newly single.
“Cheers to old beginnings and new endings,” read the first one. The second one added, “It’s never ever too late to edit.”
Combine these two occurrences with the fact that the two are no longer following each other on social media, and fans couldn’t handle it.
“Big Sean and Jhene Aiko better be working on TWENTY88 part 2, ain’t no break up bihhh,” wrote a fan on Twitter.
“Ynowat? If Big Sean and Jhené Aiko can’t make it thru, NOT ONE OF US HAS A SHOT,” tweeted another. “Channing and whoever dint do nothing for me but THIS?!?!? Is frankly more than I can handle.”
As one put it: “Big Sean and Jhene Aiko. I was rooting for you. We were all rooting for you.”
Everyone can chill. Jhené eased the minds of frightful fans after The Shade Room posted the story. In a now-deleted Instagram post, TSR asked for the “tea” on the couple’s status, so the “While We’re Young” artist gave it…
“I’m actually covering my moon phases and the rising sun on my back,” Jhené commented. “She’s clearly tattooing my back.”
“And sometimes you don’t want to follow ur boyfriend / girlfriend on social media,” the star continued. “If it weren’t for u crazy blogs and ur speculation i would follow and unfollow him twice a day, everyday… its not that serious… i see him enough in real life and on my arm.”
Meanwhile, Big Sean never looked twice at the headlines. He did, however, hint at some new work hitting a streaming service near you.
Alongside a photo of himself in the studio, the rapper posed a thought-provoking question: “What do you put your time into?!”
“Time is the currency of earth, you give time for money, for happiness, for everything you have. You either traded time for everything you have, or you’ve been unwilling to trade time for what u don’t have,” he wrote.
