Just weeks away from the first show that will kick off his Movimiento Tour, superstar Ricky Martin has released “Tiburones,” (sharks) a powerful song that promotes peace, love, unity and acceptance.
With “Tiburones,” which premiered with a music video, was written by Pablo Preciado and Venezuelan singer-songwriter Oscar Hernandez, Ricky Martin returns to his unforgettable ballads with deep lyrics and heartfelt interpretation, similar to “Fuego de Noche, Nieve de Día” or “Asignatura Pendiente.”
“It is a very emotional song that talks about the union of two who should never waste time in fights,” Hernandez tells Billboard. “It is a proposal to change directions, plans and ideas, with the simple reason of moving forward, together. And at any cost “for you whatever, swim with sharks”
Filmed in Puerto Rico, the clip represents a breath of life when a union needs to be stronger. It was directed by Kacho Lopez.
"What I wanted with the video was to capture a very universal story, and that's why I wanted to film it in Puerto Rico. Both the song and the video embody all the emotions, energy and feel, which are emblematic of when we come together as people." expressed Ricky Martin.
