Russell Dickerson's Live At Home Concert: Watch

‘We’re trying to figure out what we’re going to do,’ Dickerson said in reference to these strange times.

Russell Dickerson hosted a Billboard Live At-Home concert on Friday (March 20) to raise money for American Red Cross.

Jamming from his recently purchased Nashville, Tenn. home with his guitar and beat machine, Dickerson kicked off the 20-minute concert with “Every Little Thing” while sipping on a cup of joe as he sang, “Yeah, she’s Seattle and Sonoma, runs on coffee and red wine.”

He later celebrated his latest single “Love You Like I Used To,” which peaked at No. 5 on Billboard‘s Country Digital Song Sales chart (dated Feb. 28).

Meanwhile, artists commented on his live-stream performance, asking how they could also look on the bright side of the coronavirus pandemic, which has caused a major financial strain on the entire music industry with canceled tours and delayed albums.

“I think live concerts], you know, this isn’t a monetary… but you can point those people to your website, your merch page,” Dickerson advised.

“Honestly, we’re struggling with that, too,” he then admitted. “We’re trying to figure out what we’re going to do with this because… I got a bus. I literally have to pay for my tour bus still so trying to figure all that out, too.”

The country star did say he has enjoyed not being on the road while in self-quarantine with his wife, Kailey Dickerson. “Being home with her and not worrying about having to go on the road or having to do anything. We’re just enjoying this time,” he said.
