Shortee Blitz Drops Debut Boom Bap Heater, ‘…1st Step’ EP

British rapper, producer and DJ Shortee Blitz teams up with Joell Ortiz, Blak Twang, Cory Gunz and more for his four-track EP, …1st Step.

The pack is a specialist model of traditional hip hop, bringing together elite lyricists of the UK and American underground scenes. “Beast” is a major highlight, a posse cut featuring verses from Blak Twang, Cory Gunz, ex-Young Money artist Jon Connor and Slaughterhouse’s Joell Ortiz. Further highlights include “Steel Sharpens Steels” featuring UK underground rappers Sus Bully and MysDiggi, and the jazzy closer, “Truth”.

Shortee Blitz’s activity goes back to the 90s, starting out as a DJ in Brixton, South London. Since then, he has hosted a radio show on Kiss FM and DJ’d for Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, and the ITV show, Don’t Hate the Playaz.
