Skyzoo returns with his ambitious new release, the 15-track In Celebration Us. Described as his most layered project to date, Sky looks to tackle a number social and cultural themes on the album which he described to Billboard: “From cultural appropriation and gentrification to police brutality and the irony motives behind bigger motives, its an album that explores who we are and why we are where we are in society, as a people. Whats been done to us and what weve done to ourselves, mainly out confused necessity, all while celebrating us in the process. Im honored to be able to give my take on our story.” The album features zero guest rappers but does boast contributions from Raheem Devaughn, Kay Cola, WordsNCurves and Saba Abraha, as well as production from !llmind, Apollo Brown, Daringer, Marc Nfinit and Cardiak among others.
