As “Súbelo (Further Up)” by Static & Ben El, Pitbull and Chesca pushes 8-1 on the Latin Airplay chart (dated March 28), the Israeli pop duo and Chesca earn their first No. 1 on any Latin airplay chart, while Pitbull collects his eighth.

“Súbelo,” which interpolates Ini Kamoze’s 1994 No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Here Comes the Hotstepper,” is the Spanish version of Saban Music Group’s first release as a record label “Further Up (Na Na Na Na Na)” by Static & Ben El and Pitbull.
“Wow, so happy to be a part of this movement with ‘Súbelo (Further Up)’ reaching No. 1 along with my friends Pitbull and Static & Ben El,” adds Chesca.
The tune climbs to the top with a robust 94% gain (to 16 million) in audience impressions earned in the week ending March 22, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Oddly enough, “Hotstepper” is red-hot on Latin Airplay, as it’s also channeled in the No. 3 hit “Muevelo,” by Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee, which rises one spot with 12.9 million in audience (up 13%).
While “Further Up” is Static & Ben El’s first entry on any Billboard chart, Chesca scored her debut entry back in December on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart through her featured role on Pitbull and Lil Jon’s “Cinco de Mayo.”
“Súbelo” concurrently hikes 8-1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart and No. 2 on Latin Pop Airplay.
Over on the Hot Latin Songs chart, which blends airplay, streaming data and digital sales, “Súbelo” surges 35-15 despite declines on digital sales (down 49%) and streams (dips 22%).
