The Canadian rockers notch their first top 20 entry on the chart, as well as their first top 20 hit on any airplay survey since "Pieces," which hit No. 14 on Alternative Songs in February 2005.
Sum 41's only previous Mainstream Rock Songs appearance? "We're All to Blame," which reached No. 36 in November 2004. The band has had far more success on Alternative Songs, where in August 2001 it reigned with "Fat Lip," one of four top 10s it earned on the ranking in 2001-04.
"Out for Blood" drew 694,000 radio audience impressions in the tracking week, a 19% boost, according to Nielsen Music.
The song is the first single from Order in Decline, Sum 41's seventh studio LP and first since 2016's 13 Voices, due July 19 on Hopeless Records.
