According to TMZ, T.I. and a friend attempted to enter the gated community without a key, causing an argument with the guard. Once they were allowed in, T.I. returned to continue their disagreement. At this point, cops were called in and arrested T.I. and his friend. The guard said he wasn’t physically attacked but feared that he might get hit, which is enough to constitute simple assault in Georgia.
AJC reports that T.I. has paid a $2,250 bond and has been released. His friend remains behind bars for an outstanding warrant.
