For a while, Pusha T and No Malice were the meanest brothers in rap — well, they’re back. ‘Let God Sort Em Out’ is an album that will mark the return of the duo better known as Clipse, with Pharrell on the production.
For a while, all we had from the album were songs that would play and premiere at fashion shows (which is on brand for Pharrell especially); now we have a date.
The album is all set to release on July 11, 2025 in partnership with Roc Nation. To announce, the duo put out a trailer that begins by repeating the phrase “culturally inappropriate.” Among other things, this might just be a call back to when rap music was considered too brash and inappropriate.
The opening montage seems to assert this understanding by contrasting paintings that can be considered high art vs daily scenes from the urban world. The phrase then gets sample chopped from “this is culturally inappropriate” to “this is culture” — marking the beginning of a crescendo that explodes into the announcement.
Perfect tension building for one of the most anticipated modern hip hop projects. The duo also revealed the artwork for the album, designed by KAWS.
