The Game Reveals Chris Brown and Chlöe Bailey Collaboration

The stars are aligning for Drillmatic.

During an interview with Mike Tyson’s “Hotboxin’” podcast, The Game revealed that his new album will feature a collaboration with Chris Brown and Chlöe Bailey. The unnamed track samples Janet Jackson’s Velvet Rope single “Got ’til It’s Gone.”

“Today I just got a record with Chris Brown and Chlöe Bailey done, which is dope,” he told Tyson. “We did that literally today and that was the last song for the album.”

Game and Chris are no strangers to collaboration, working together on tracks like “Celebration” and “Pot of Gold.”

When Drillmatic drops on July 1, the album will also feature appearances from Kanye West, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, and NBA YoungBoy.

“I like to say that it’s probably my best album to date,” said Game. “I kinda bridged the gap between old and new. I’m real hip-hop oriented and a student of the game, but also appreciate young Black rappers getting up out the ‘hood and being able to use music of any facet to take care of their families and better their life. So I’m mixing old school with the new school.”

Game is confident that his first album in three years will raise the bar. “It’s the perfect timing for someone to stand in the gap of old hip-hop and new hip-hop and put out a project that is really dope from the production, lyricism, everything,” he said. “I don’t know why I’m this good this late in my career, but the album is probably my best album.”

During the interview, he also discussed his relationship with 50 Cent and the late Nipsey Hussle, who he called a “dear friend to me, a brother, comrade, and one of the realest ni**as I ever met in life.”
