While our table may not be very crowded during this period of social distancing, The Highwomen have brought our minds to happier times with loved ones on their song, “Crowded Table.”
The accompanying video, released Thursday (April 30), shows the debut album-making process. Founding members Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires are seen singing in the studio, weaved with memories the group has, smiling with Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell, Yola, Tim and Phil Hanseroth and more.
“I want a house with a crowded table / And a place by the fire for everyone / Let us take on the world while we’re young and able / And bring us back together when the day is done,” the group sings in the heartfelt chorus, which feels a bit more poignant in these trying times.
The comforting anthem serves as the centerpiece of Campbell Soup Company’s new commercial, “We All Want a House with a Crowded Table,” which you can watch here.
