The Jonas Brothers have two major songs dropping tomorrow (May 15), “X” featuring Karol G and “5 More Minutes,” which they debuted during their 2020 Grammys performance.
But their announcement on Twitter from earlier this week illustrated how putting those titles side-by-side spell out “XV,” or 15 in Roman numerals. The JoBros have been in the music business for the last 15 years, so does that mean the trio plan on celebrating this monumental anniversary with another studio project?
The three artists hopped on SiriusXM Hits 1 Celebrity Session today (May 14) to chat with frontline healthcare workers who are combating the coronavirus and to talk about their upcoming music releases, the two fans already have marked on their calendars and then some.
“We’re happy with these songs, and to have Karol G featured on ‘X’ is exciting for us. They both are completely different songs,” Joe Jonas noted. “They both have a different story to tell.”
But the chart-topping boy band didn’t know the story fans were spreading that the “XV” singles bundle might double as a new album title.
“We definitely have a good amount of songs ready to go. And I think we didn’t realize all the parallels with just having ‘X’ and ‘V’ as this title because now people are thinking there’s more to it,” Joe explained. “But right now, we just got two songs to deliver to everyone, and hopefully they enjoy those. And we definitely want to release more. So we’ll see how everything goes in the next few weeks, few months, and hopefully, we can be putting some more songs in your hands.”
