Tinashe takes fans into a surreal world of life in quarantine in her visually stunning music video for “Rascal (Superstar).”
The Jasper Soloff-directed clip finds the pop/R&B singer being recorded by a metallic pink drone that follows her every move as she dances in cheetah print lingerie, erratically bakes a cake, and models elaborate pastel outfits.
The vision for the quarantine-inspired “Rascal (Superstar)” video was to capture the life of a “socialite trapped in her own home with fans streaming to watch her 24 hours a day,” according to a news release.
“Rascal (Superstar),” produced by Sage the Gemini, was featured on Tinashe’s 2019 album, Songs For You. The singer also recently dropped a remix of standout track “Hopscotch,” a bouncy, West Coast-leaning bop featuring R&B duo THEY.
