A$AP Rocky shows off his pretty boy swag on the cover of GQ.
The Harlem heartthrob, who the magazine declares the “Prettiest Man Alive,” flaunts his ripped body in the shirtless black-and-white shoot by Inez & Vinoodh.
After Rocky posted the avant-garde photos on Instagram, his friend Tyler, the Creator couldn’t help but troll his “Potato Salad” collaborator in the comments.
“yeah suck that fu**ing stomach in you tubby f**k,” joked Tyler, who added the eggplant and heart eyes emojis.
But all jokes aside, Rocky and Tyler’s friendship has been well documented. They’ve toured together and starred in a Gucci campaign last year. Tyler also honored his “best friend” at the WSJ. Magazine‘s Innovators Awards in 2019.
“He’s one of my inspirations. Even though he’s a friend,” said Tyler. “People don’t know this, but when we first came into the rap game, we didn’t even like each other. Our crews didn’t like each other. And now, being in hip-hop, I don’t identify with anybody but my real true family and friends.”
Rap’s fashion darling rocks bold looks including a Vivienne Westwood kilt, Paco Rabanne headpiece, and $75,000 choker in the GQ shoot. But Rocky has never been afraid to push the envelope when it comes to fashion.
“The nails, the kilts, the pretty-boy swag, the pearls–I think it’s just being comfortable,” he says of his style. “I just express myself with fashion, and what’s fly is fly.”
In the interview, he also opened up about his relationship with Rihanna, who he calls the “love of my life”” and “the One.” “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones,” he said of the pop icon.
