The annual Met Gala originally scheduled for Monday (May 4) has been postponed indefinitely, but the show will still (kind of) go on.
Vogue will be hosting a YouTube virtual event instead, titled A Moment With the Met, in which the fashion magazine will look back on previous star-studded Met Galas and unveil new videos featuring Cardi B, Naomi Campbell, Liv Tyler, Stella McCartney and Liza Koshy.
The event will also feature a performance by Florence + the Machine and a DJ set by designer Virgil Abloh.
Additionally, Vogue will make a donation to the Costume Institute, which is usually benefitted by the Met Gala, and the “A Common Thread” initiative, which helps those in need amid the coronavirus crisis.
“It would be impossible to recreate the gala on Monday evening, though I have loved hearing how so many are marking the occasion in their own ways,” Vogue editor-in-chief and Met Gala co-chair Anna Wintour said in a statement, according to Variety. “So instead, I asked a few friends to join me for a simple moment — one that I hope will bring us all a bit of joy.”
The livestream will begin at 6 p.m. EST on Monday (May 4) on Vogue’s YouTube channel,
