Watch Haim Cover Robyn’s ‘Show Me Love,’ Perform a Stripped-Back ‘Hallelujah’

Haim stopped by Phil Taggart's Chillest Show on BBC Radio on Saturday (Dec. 1) to perform their latest single "Hallelujah" as well as an epic cover of a Robyn classic.

The trio kicked off their set with a stripped-down rendition of their emotional new song, accompanied only by a lone piano. "I met two angels but they were in disguise/ Took one look to realize/ Tell 'em anything and they will sympathize/ Old fears, helped to ease them in my mind/ New tears say that they will dry in time," crooned Danielle Haim, articulating the band's familial bond before ceding the remaining verses to sisters Este and Alana.

The band also unveiled an acoustic take on Robyn's seminal hit "Show Me Love." Este took over lead vocals on the teen pop classic, singing, "Always been told that I got too much pride/ Too independent to have you by my side/ Then my heart said all of you will see/ Just won't live for someone until he lives for me," as her sisters launched into girl group-inspired harmonies on the track's bopping chorus.

(The Swedish singer's timeless breakout single was originally included on her 1997 debut album, Robyn Is Here, and is often credited with helping spur the teen pop movement of the lat '90s and early 2000s.)
