Kanye West is coming home.
After hosting two listening events at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Kanye West returned to his hometown of Chicago for a third DONDA event on Thursday night (Aug. 26), which is once again streaming live on Apple Music.
This time around, Ye rebuilt his childhood in the middle of Soldier Field, complete with a giant lit-up cross on top of the building. A 3-year-old Kanye lived in the house with his mother for about eight years after they moved from Atlanta. In 2003, the former English professor sold the 1,600-square-foot house for $121,000 before Kanye bought it last year for $225,000.
Fans are hopeful that Kanye will drop his oft-delayed album after tonight’s listening, but that remains to be seen.
