After celebrating their fifth anniversary with a special island in the video game Animal Crossing and a greatest hits collection called 5, J-pop band Mrs. GREEN APPLE ended what they call Phase 1 of their career and went into indefinite hiatus.
On Monday (July 13), the five-member band shared a song from their latest concert DVD/Blu-ray called EDEN no SONO Live at YOKOHAMA ARENA 2019.12.08, which went on sale last week.
“Folktale” was the last song of the main set, an uplifting mid-tempo ballad showcasing frontman Motoki Omori’s versatile, emotional vocals and the band’s solid performance before a huge, leafy tree glowing warmly on the LED screen behind the stage. Watch below:
“Folktale” is a track on the band’s most recent studio album, Attitude, and was aired as the commercial song for the SoftBank Music Project.
