The 63rd Grammy Awards will announce the nominations for the Jan. 31, 2021-slated show later this year, but Billboard already predicted who could score some major nods.
When it comes to three of the Big Four categories (album, record and song of the year, as well as best new artist), The Weeknd, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch and Maren Morris have high chances of scoring big across the board. Morris is the only artist credited as a solo artist for “The Bones” (both as record and song of the year) and as part of the group The Highwomen (Morris, Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Amanda Shires) for their eponymous debut LP for album of the year.
Following Billie Eilish’s big sweep across the Big Four and more during the 2019 Grammys, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Summer Walker and Tones and I seem to be the best bets to score big in the best new artist rank. The Suga rapper also has a good chance snagging a record of the year nod with her No. 1 Beyoncé-assisted “Savage” remix, which could become the third all-female collaboration to receive a nomination this category.
