This week, Travis Scott becomes just the sixth artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to have debuted at No. 1 more than once, as the red-hot rapper enters the chart at No. 1 with “The Scotts,” a collab with Kid Cudi. Scott also debuted in the lead position in October with “Highest in the Room.”
The first five artists to enter the Hot 100 at No. 1 with multiple singles were Mariah Carey and Drake (who have achieved the feat with three singles each, more than anyone else), Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
So who will be next in line? Obviously, it has to be somebody who has already debuted at No. 1 once. Below, vote from a complete list of the artists who have achieved this feat just once, shown in reverse chronological order.
(Note: Two artists — Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston — who entered the Hot 100 at No. 1 once aren’t included here for the saddest of reasons: They have died. Jackson was the first artist to achieve the feat with “You Are Not Alone,” and Houston, who was the third, with “Exhale (Shoop Shoop).”)
