Willie Nelson is gearing up to celebrate his favorite holiday on Monday (April 20), with the “Come and Toke It” variety show, part of Luck Productions’ ongoing live programming series.
Of course, 4/20 is Willie’s day, and the event slated to kick off at 4:20 CDT will be hosted by the country icon and features appearances from other artists, as well as chefs, comedians and cannabis experts, according to a release on the, yes, four-hour-and-twenty-minute event.
There will be performances, cooking and cocktail demos, with one participant chosen at random to talk to Nelson and wish him a happy birthday during the broadcast. Luck and Willie’s Reserve are also joining up to launch the #comeandtokeit and #passleft challenge, which may result in a chance to have a smoking session with Willie. All you have to do is post a video of yourself passing whatever you like to the left with the hashtags.
The broadcast will benefit the Last Prisoner Project. “Come and toke it with me on 4/20 at 4:20,” said Nelson in a video promoting the event. “There will be music and good times. And, it’s for a good cause.” You can tune in to the stream here and here.
