XXXTENTACION Dedicates Song To Parkland Shooting Victims

XXXTENTACION has released a new song dedicated to the victims the mass shooting that took place at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida last week (February 14).

The track, titled HOPE, comes in at 1:45 and features X singing stly over a smooth instrumental. Hegrew up about 20 miles away from Parkland, in nearby Lauderhill, Florida.

Rest in peace to all the kids that lost their lives in the Parkland shooting, X says at the beginning the track. This song is dedicated to you.

In the album art on SoundCloud, he posted that the words at the end the song are dedicated to those at Douglas High.

The song closes with the verse:

He expanded on the full song’s lyrics in an Instagram story, explaining, “although not all the words are relevant to the situation, I chose what I felt was relative and uplifting instead graphic and real.”

X also fered some words to those who survived the attack, writing on his SoundCloud,follow your dreams, and know that even though you have lost, you have guardian angels watching over you , day in and day out, the last thing they want is for their lives to be lost in vein, make them proud! live full, healthy, genius lives!

The shooting left 17 people dead, and many more injured. Following the attack, a number Hip Hop stars, including XXXTENTACION, took to social media to fer their condolences to the victims.

I issue my condolences to the familys that lost anyone in that shooting that occurred in broward today, my cousin attends the middle school in that plaza, it is such a tragedy that this has happened, X wrote in a post uploaded to his Instagram stories.
