Ye Insists He’s Team Drake While Wildly Dissing J. Cole’s Music

Ye continues to call out his peers in unfiltered X rants. Now, he is going in on J. Cole while kinda giving Drake props.

Ye Sides WIth Drake While Ripping J. Cole

On Tuesday (April 1), Yeezy reacted to Drake releasing his “Nokia” music video, adding another layer to their love-hate relationship.

“How I hate Drake and I’m team Drake at the same time[?]” Ye questioned on X below. “Life is funny like that It’s the weird thing where I feel closest to Drake outta any body in rap.”

In a follow-up tweet, Ye oppositly expressed his disdain for J. Cole.

“I hate J Cole music so much It’s like between Kendrick and J Cole,” Ye added. “I bet you industry plants asked J Cole to diss Drake then we would have been accosted with a J Cole Super Bowl commercial with no SZA song to save it…No one listens to J Cole after loosing their virginity.”

Ye went on to reveal he dissed Cole to Drake’s face when they were recording for the Donda album.

“When I met up with Drake during Donda most of the convo was me telling him he was hurting hip hop by giving J Cole a platform and I was saying how much I loved Future,” Ye added.

Ye’s Issue With J. Cole

Ye has been going in on everyone for one reason or another recently. So, it was only a matter of time before he got around to Cole. This isn’t the first time Ye has dissed Cole. Last April, Yeezy sent shots at Cole on Ye’s verse to the unofficial “Like That (Remix).” That jab came after the North Carolina rapper bowed out of the Kendrick Lamar rap beef.

“I can’t even think of a Drake line/Play J. Cole, get the p***y dry/Play this s**t back a hundred-thirty times,” Ye raps on the song.

Ye and Cole have never had real beef. However, Cole did call out Ye on the song “False Prophets” in 2016.
