Young Chop Arrested in Georgia for Violating Probation

Young Chop has run into some trouble with the law.

The music producer, real name Tyree Pittman, was arrested Thursday by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s office in Georgia on a charge of probation violation, the Gwinnett Daily Post reports. The arrest appears to be related to an alleged misdemeanor animal neglect charge.

This isn’t the first time the 26-year-old producer has faced legal issues in recent months. The Chicago native, who currently lives in Atlanta, was arrested in late February for allegedly starving a dog to death. He was also arrested in early April on charges of reckless conduct, driving without a valid license and expired tags/registration, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The April charge came after Chop recorded himself on Instagram searching for 21 Savage in the rapper’s old neighborhood in Atlanta. Chop was also accused of shooting a gun into the street near his home, which was documented in an Instagram clip as well.

Young Chop recently dropped the diss track “You Know What We Do,” which takes aim at Drake, 21 Savage, Meek Mill and French Montana, among others. The track coincides with his new music projects Chop Is King and The Intro X Young Godfather.
