Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is currently facing a serious legal challenge from a former long-term employee. Monique Mayers, who served as a senior operations executive for the mogul’s business ventures—including G-Unit Film & Television—for 12 years, has filed a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination, retaliation, and witness intimidation.
According to the complaint, which was obtained by XXL on April 30, 2026, Mayers claims she was fired after refusing to participate in what she describes as illegal and fraudulent activities. The suit further alleges that following her 2019 termination, she was subjected to a sustained campaign of harassment, involving over 80 incidents of threatening phone calls and text messages originating from at least 25 different phone numbers.
Allegations of Misconduct and Intimidation
The lawsuit details specific instances dating back to 2015, during the period when 50 Cent was navigating Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Mayers alleges that the rapper demanded she hide property in her own name to conceal his connection to certain transactions. Additionally, she claims she was pressured to file a false police report against the rapper’s driver and bodyguard, Bajar Walters, accusing him of theft.
Mayers’ attorney, Bennitta Joseph, issued a statement emphasizing the severity of the claims: “Mr. Jackson’s actions have caused serious harm to personal and professional lives and, in Ms. Mayers’ case, created a sustained and credible fear for her safety. The complaint details a pattern of conduct designed to intimidate, punish, and silence those who refuse to comply with Jackson’s demands.”
Defense Denies All Claims
In response to the filing, 50 Cent’s legal representative, Reena Jain, issued a strong rebuttal, categorically denying the allegations. The statement characterizes the lawsuit as a “baseless” stunt intended to garner media attention and damage the entertainer’s reputation.
“Ms. Mayers is a disgruntled former employee who was terminated for cause over five years ago,” the statement reads. “This lawsuit is nothing more than a transparent attempt to use the guise of a legal proceeding to seek an unjustified payday well outside of the applicable Statute of Limitations.”
The defense further noted that they have not been formally served with the lawsuit and suggested that the filing is linked to separate ongoing litigation involving Shaniqua Tompkins. Counsel for the rapper added that they proactively reported alleged threats to law enforcement and encouraged Mayers to do the same, asserting that they look forward to a swift dismissal of the case in court.
Mayers is currently seeking a jury trial, a permanent injunction against further harassment, and undisclosed damages.
