The London-based artists link up again to drop more heat with their relentless, back and forth approach. After their recent collaboration on the equally-hard, melancholic-leaning, ‘Settle Down’, the pair are back and switching it up with this energetic single. Making sure that every bar counts with their lyricism pushing each other further into their craft, they bring out the best in one another.
Possessing its haunted-lullaby feel with it’s subtle but gritty piano riffs, Xadi opens with his colourful-lyricism and punchy flow, both being catapulted by the sporadic 808s with his flow adding to the percussion and tone of the track. Passing on to Daniel Adé as he sits on the back of the beat, the track continues to elevate amongst his vividly-lyrical offering.
Seeing as the duo never come to disappoint with their joint efforts, ‘Kappa’ is just the kind of dynamic and tireless track we needed, and we can hope that it won’t be the last.
