His “Daechwita” debuts, following J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup.”
As BTS continues to be a force on Billboard‘s charts, its individual members are beginning to pad their solo chart résumés.
Agust D, who also goes by SUGA, becomes the second member of BTS to score a solo hit on the Billboard Hot 100, as his single “Daechwita” opens at No. 76 on the chart dated June 6.
“Daechwita” debuts with 4 million U.S. streams and 17,000 sold in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Agust D joins fellow BTS member J-Hope, who became the first member of the group to notch a solo Hot 100 entry, when “Chicken Noodle Soup,” featuring Becky G, spent a week on the survey, at No. 81, in October 2019.
“Daechwita” concurrently debuts at No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, earning Agust D his second No. 1, after IU’s “Eight,” on which he’s featured, three weeks ago.
“Daechwita” appears on Agust D’s second mixtape D-2, which starts at No. 1 on World Albums, where it’s his first leader, and No. 11 on the Billboard 200 with 33,000 equivalent album units. The sum is the second-largest opening week for a K-pop album this year, after BTS’s Map of the Soul: 7, which launched with 422,000 units in March.
All 10 tracks from D-2 occupy the top 10 of the World Digital Song Sales chart. Agust D is the first soloist to sweep the top 10 in a week, and joins only BTS, which has infused the entire top 10 on four occasions, beginning in June 2018.
Here’s a rundown of Agust D’s top 10 domination on World Digital Song Sales, including one track with BTS’s RM:

It may not be long before another member of BTS joins Agust D and J-Hope with solo hits on the Hot 100, as Jungkook released his first solo song on Thursday (June 4), “Still With You.”
